Great stuff Pamela. Really appreciate you having a place where folks can go and actually admire people with brains. Too many liberal blogs are havens of meanness, ineptitude, elitism, or thoughtless sloganeering.
For an example of this, check out some of the comments about Kerry on this dKos link: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/9/19/145237/419

I rarely go there anymore, I just got tired of the liberal complaining about Kerry. Just remind myself over and over: for all their loud mouth bitching the candidate of dKos couldn’t win a single Dem primary except for his home state. At least folks at this blog have a record of electoral success. Just went back and read JK’s comments on MTP on Jan. 31, 2005. He mentions that Republicans have told him that his popular vote total (48.3%) beat ALL of the GOP’s internal projections.

    Your action is needed!

Terry Tempest Williams has written “An Open Letter to Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska” regarding the Senate vote to allow drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The Orion Society has the letter online, along with background information and links to other resources.

Also visit the Alaska Wilderness League web site. They are spearheading a campaign to protect the Arctic Refuge.

BTW, Terry Tempest Williams is a truly beautiful writer.

Thanks for posting this. He looks presidental unlike that buffoon that occupies the WH. I love the environment.
