Qwest, it isn’t just a journey, it’s a destination

For anyone interested in changing their telephone service to Qwest, here is the phone number to call:

1-800-860-2255

It took me less than 10 minutes to make the change from MCI to Qwest. After the transaction was complete, I said I wanted to thank Qwest for not complying with the NSA’s request to turn over their customer’s phone records. The representative I was speaking to said I wouldn’t believe the number of calls they’d gotten over the last few days from new customers– for the same reason.

According to CBS news, former Qwest Communications CEO Joseph Nacchio, who refused to turn over the records to the NSA, has been accused by the US government of insider trading and illegally selling company stock.

Ok, fess up, who laughed at my headline? @;-)
Writing bad headlines takes skill, you know. d;-)

But seriously, making the change to Qwest, which I decided to do despite the on-going investigation into insider trading, was quick, easy and painless.

    KJ,

LOL !!! I liked it, I love GOOD headlines.

I have been thinking about Nachio doing this in spite of the insider trading charges. Just goes to show, even the crooks draw lines at what they will do.

Since I switched to Vonage and no longer have Qwest, I am still tempted to email a thank you. The guy who took over for Nachio also refused the request. When I get a cell phone, I will not go back to Verizon and will tell them so.

I also need to give my brother in law, a long time Qwest employee a big hug 🙂

We’ve been loyal MCI customers for many, many years. Yet, changing over to Qwest was a no-brainer, just a simple stand on principle.
