Is this a sign of the times to come, calling a 52 year old man back into service to die in Iraq? It is no big secret that the war in Iraq was based on lies, or that it has become a complete failure and the blood of all those that have died because of the failed Bush policies is on his hands and those of each and everyone of his enablers. Ron Paulson spent 14 years in the Army and then another 13 years as an inactive reservist. At 52 years old, he was called up for active duty.
When Paulson finished his service in 1992, soldiers were given a choice – take a lump sum of $30,000 and be done, or take an annual payment of $7,000 with a catch.
He said he went for the annual, but that meant he had to stay in the inactive reserve to get it, which is why he ended up getting called back in to service.
So tell me once again, Dick Cheney, how remarkably well the situation is Iraq. Please explain it to me, because I just don’t see it, but I’m not a six year old girl either, who’s mom describes Cheney coming to town as “Like a rock star coming to town.”
Even when the truth is laid out before them, they refuse to acknowledge that they drove us into a ditch and it’s time to take away the keys. This insanity has to stop and stop soon. It’s time for a real plan to deal with the mess that the Republicans have put us into. You have failed your driving test and it is time to hand over the keys so you cannot continue to run down pedestrians. You can point your finger all you want, but the fact is that Clinton has been out of office for six years. The best way to take away the keys from those juvenile delinquents is to vote democratic come November 7th.
