Bush got the finger, she got the axe

A 43 year old school bus driver was fired for reportedly making an obscene gesture at President Bush. The bus driver has now filed a union grievance in an attempt to get her job back. While Republican Rep. Dave Reichert did not see the gesture, that did not stop him from calling Issaquah superintendent Janet Barry. It appears that the driver was already fired before Reichert made that call, if you can believe that one. It is worthy to...

More Defense of Kerry

Not to keep belaboring the issue, but as Pamela noted below, slowly but surely the fog of the Republican attack seems to be lifting, and drifting in are all sorts of defenses of John Kerry. Crooks and Liars has an interesting video up of Christopher Hitchens and Andrew Sullivan, both generally right wing kooks, defending John Kerry. I wish he’d felt that way back in February 2003, about three weeks before he ordered our soldiers to invade Iraq. In a February 28, 2003 article by Eric Schmitt in the New York Times, “Pentagon Contradicts General...

A Loss of a Loved One and John Kerry

You may not agree with this person’s views on John Kerry and the 2004 election, but by god this’ll remind you of not just of John Kerry’s goodness — but of the sacrifice people with friends and family in combat go through. This diary at DKos in support of John Kerry and the GOP smear campaign against him, speaks for itself: “I know, this is probably diary #2000 about John Kerry today, and Kerry should not be what we...
