The Libby Pardon

Cross Posted from Article of Faith:

It’s coming, folks. If you think he or his defense team really gives a sh*t about these charges, you’re nuts. That’s why it’s been most entertaining to watch the bloggers and media hounds cover this trial “breathlessly”, fully expecting Dick Cheney or even Libby himself to testify.

“The judge, Reggie B. Walton, expressed in the strongest terms yet that he had been misled by the defense team about whether Mr. Libby would take the stand in his own defense.”

C’mon, Judge Walton. Really? You really thought Scooter was going to take the stand after the prosecution pretty much nailed his hide to the wall? And did anyone actually think Cheney would come down and testify, under oath? Something he has yet to do his entire, soiled, 6 years in office?

These guys are laughing at the entire judicial process, for they know that in the dark recesses of January 19th, 2009 around midnight or so, Scooter is going to receive his pardon from the out-going George Bush, and that, as they say, will be that.

Strange… the same exact thought had crossed my mind just last night. A pardon is almost guaranteed. By the way… I’ve been gone for awhile… glad to see that this blog still exists!

Lotsa people have been busy catching up from the stuff postponed during the election. I’ve been staying off the computer because it is in an enclosed porch that is usually warm enough 360 days of the year. Not so this winter.
It was only 11 degrees in Denver at 11 am today. 🙄 Now we’re in the 20s and I had to have a fix…

What really ticks me off is thinking about what kinds of cushy jobs Scooter will get AFTER his pardon.

That’s the deal: take the fall, get the pardon, the reward is a lifetime of guaranteed highest tax bracket income.

It’s nice to see you, too, Ginny. I’m still kind of getting over the fact that Kerry isn’t running……… in 08, anyway. He’s forced me to actually consider someone else! Gah!

And yeah… it’s been bloody cold where I live, as well. I hope all is well for you!

  5. Hey Andy

Missed you around here. I can’t even begin to consider anyone else yet. None of them are too appealing.

I hear there’s lot’s of snow back east. Yuck!
