Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich has an intriguing post on his blog, speculating on the chances of Al Gore winning an Oscar and taking a golden opportunity to announce he’s running for president.
Robert Reich has a blog? Cool–he’s one of my favs.
I’d love Gore to run but I’d be surprised if he did. It would put all the other candidates in a heap of trouble, wouldn’t it.
I read somewhere Friday that Gore said he will not run.
I keep thinking he won’t run because Hillary is running. If she flounders, maybe he will jump in.
Gore – Clinton ticket?? 😆 Actually, she would make a very good VP. And I think the smear factor would be harder to succeed with if she isn’t going to be pres.
I’m not sure if the Oscars would be the best place for him to announce his candidacy – the wingnuts would be quick to proclaim that he’s just a Hollywood liberal (of course). I’d actually like Gore to run – like Kerry, I think the man deserves another shot.

Al Gore’s steadfast dignity and selfless dedication to reduction/elimination of OUR ONLY habitat’s deadly global warming, coupled with his party’s desperate need for a candidate of Roosevelt/Kennedy world stature, all but dictate his selection as the Democrats’ choice in 2008.
Adding Senator Barack Obama to the ticket as V. P. will make 2008 both an electoral “slam dunk” and a supercharge for repairing the international stature of our morally sullied nation and its sorely betrayed ideals.
