As an active proponent of the intelligent use of Campaign Video as a one-on one communications tool, I created a partnership with a creative ad man and we have made several videos. This one was specifically aimed at Wes Clark. We knew it would get publicity and it was a reasonably popular play. Since he’s in the news today it seems appropriate to show The Democratic Daily our most popular video. We have several others that continue to be edited and reworked.
While I am not blogging as actively as I would like due to personal circumstances, we want to show how a very simple video format, using shots with an impactful voice-over, can have an effect on a specific topic: in this case asking an individual to step up to the Presidential plate.
Most campaigns aren’t getting it. Properly done Videoblogging could be a breakthrough tactic. (Most officeholders aren’t even in the ballpark!) View it as an example that shows how a creative concept, privately produced, can have an impact.
Whether you like the message is another story. Each to their own….
