However, even idiots sometimes have good ideas. I’m all in favor of looking at the end of the Clinton term because I saw a number of things that lead me to believe that Bill went actively on the take when he knew he was close to the end. I believe that Bill Clinton is dirty. I believe that he took money, including for the Marc Rich pardon. And with a Libby link, I’d like to see the situation explored. If there was a payment, there was a bag man, and guys like Libby often provide those services. It requires someone who is a player, who is connected, who is trusted, and, when a President is involved, someone who is real close to the top of the heap. In this kind of matter, political party doesn’t matter, only political connections.

If we have to go through Clinton to get Libby, and have to go through Libby to get Bush, then so be it. Because the American people will put up with a lot, but we never put up with cash changing hands under the table. Libby would not be able to escape prison without talking, and no one would be able to help him without going up in flames. This could easily be the connection that unravels everything.
