It would all be so much more effective if these types of disclosures could come out in the context of an impeachment process.

Start the process, and take it on faith that this "sewer" will continue to run. By Christmas people will be ready to storm the Whitehouse with picthforks. The cumulative weight of the filth, the utter stench of this administration, will simply become overpowering.

David Soll,

Thanks for the personal perspective and welcome to the Dem Daily.

We could forget the Shooter Dick? Not even if my sometimers becomes alltimers.

That administrative official's comment has been ripping up my mind for hours. It is good to realize no matter how ugly they are, it will not change the real beauty of the Special Olympics atheletes.

Sorry, I can't share my Pepto. How about a pink toast to the Special Olympics? To hell with the SOBs.

Ever since those fateful days in Florida back in 2000 when we all knew that Jeb being the gov was a sure ticket to W being able to lie, cheat, and steal his way into the White House I had a pretty good idea what kind of people we were dealing with.

From Molly Ivins columns and books to doing a simple fact check on the people picked to run the many agencies within W's regime it was beyond the pale what was happening.

9/11 being used as a political tool to further their power.

The USAPATRIOT Act, ignoring the FISA Act 1976, enemy combatants, terrorists everywhere, phantoms of lost liberty, how the hell do you people sleep at night?

Lets not forget Satan.....I mean Dick Cheney

I'm just a regular guy, who struggles to make ends meet and when I read or see or hear these kinds of people acting as if they are the only ones that can 'protect us' or are 'one of us' and they know what 'we are going' through makes me angry.

Over the last 6 years I to have been amazed at how these people sink lower and lower into the dark abyss, with the help of a spineless media (owned by corporations), is it no wonder that these people have acted in such a manner? Deregulation anyone?

W (and his cult) like to say that the Dems are the ones that play 'partisan' politics but we all know that they need do nothing more than look in a mirror.

Being that my wife and I have a 15 year old Special Ed child that has been in the Special Olympics a few times (5 gold, 2 silver and memories and smiles as big as the world) I am beyond pissed that anyone, especially a 'senior official' could make such a heartless comment about that great program!

You are a pathetic excuse for a human!

Same goes for anyone that uses lies and deceit in ways that further line their pockets with money and power at the expense of the moneyless and powerless!

Excuse me, all this talk about W (and his minions) is making me sick.....

Robert,

As I started saying some time ago, this administration will not only be the WORST EVER, it will hold that position for a long time. Now I'm beginning to think they will never be replaced. That isn't hope, it's a matter of improbability.

They say Bush is starting to really think of what he does in terms of his legacy. Likely? If he was really thinking about it, he would need to be put on suicide watch.

That first act of Bush, to reinstate the gag order, seared my heart and mind. I was so mad at him from day one, he couldn't do anything without me guessing what he was probably down to.

When the towers came down, I knew we would be going to war. And all I could think of was 'there goes the money to reform health care'.

The speculation that some of the BushCo stupidity was actually to bankrupt the country so we would have to stop the social contract programs has been a high probability for me. The rest of this makes sense when it comes to keeping the corporations from having to deal with global warming expenses and keeping the base happy so they turn out to vote.

The Special Olympics testimony is a nauseating look at what really lies in these disabled souls that pretend they have morals, values and hearts like the rest of us.

They may have similar genes, what kind of animals they are is another enigma.

Robert, as always, a tough post very well done. Thanks.
