I’m back!

Many were shocked at my thoughts on giving up the blogging. I sent word that I intended to extend my blogging tour of duty. Well folks, I’m back, and I have something to say. Prepare for blogger combat! I’m ready to fight! The Katrinacrat is back and ready to take some wingnuts to task. I got a little rest, and I’m itching for a fight. My service was acting stupid for the last couple of days, so I didn’t get to post the Katrina video me and the Reaper put together. We plan to do it still. Better late than never. Reaper has been MIA with work, but is looking forward to getting back soon. He’s kinda angry right now. His return should be funny! He’s on a kick about Vets again, so I imagine his twisted brain is going at full speed.

My transition to my new position is finally starting to settle down. Things are getting better. My Mom is getting an operation Friday, that they give a 50:50 chance for survival. That’s the one thing that is still hanging over me. It is still there, but I am gonna blog my heart out. Strap on your seat belts folks, I’m ready to let it rip! I am back!

I’m glad you’re back… you saved me a trip down there to drag you back to the blogosphere!

    Perfect timing.

Fred Thompson declares his candidacy on September 6.

Now what will be the ultimate effect of this?

Could it be a further disjointed Republican contenders field? I’ll bet so.

Lets call it Naders Revenge, lol!

Sincere best wishes for you and your mother.

I’m in pretty much the same place, and wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

  4. Donnie, welcome back!

We need you. Glad to have your voice back with us again.

How many of us are there in this boat? The job I took because it would take me out of the stress of bedside nursing has resulted in 4 of the most stressful weeks of my life. That was only parly due to Lauren’s back surgery being 2 weeks into it. She had a lot of nasty stuff afterward – all temporary- that made her miserable and me guilty.

She is significantly better from the nasty stuff. The surgery seems to have been an all out success. She told the surgeon and anesthetist in the recovery room they must have done something right because she could feel her toes again. Since then, all the shooting leg pains and some other baseline agony have not recurred.

Bringing my stress fried brain back to the blog and politics, I find the Rove is leaving, Gonzo has resigned, and another GOP Senator is biting the dust. Maybe if I just stay out of politics things will get better?

Not much in the fridge. But there’s ice and Jack D.
    I will survive.

  6. Thanks every one! Mom had her operation Friday, and made it through. She is in ICU now, and we have to wait to see if it will relieve the pain. They went in and removed a growth from her spine. On the inside, between the spine and the heart. The job is coming together also. The promotion I got keeps me hopping now. It added an extra night of work on me. But I got the trouble makers on the run now.
