Er … because Newt’s a loser who tried to impeach a sitting president of the United States over something minor and instead lost his seat and power himself; who can’t run for president because of his incredibly slimy personal life and who has to make due with his “consultant” contract-and-office in the Pentagon and who has to make up outrageous quotes like this for Faux Nooz™ so that SOMEONE will actually put him on the airwaves and won’t think that he’s totally irrelevant?
I could be wrong, but it is a theory. And you asked.
