I thought Obama missed an opportunity, that being: why are those Clinton advisers now working for Obama? The whole Bill Shaheen fiasco - the cheap attack from a weak surrogate, followed by the Hillary apology - reminiscent of the South Carolina Republican attacks on McCain, and later, on John Kerry and Max Cleland. Do we have to have candidate who exhaled only?

I think Reagan and George Bush Senior had a spat and made up. The other possibility is to President Hilary puts Obama on the Supreme Court. It would be a great appointment, and remove him as a rival in the party.

As a lesson in political tactics, Obama was asked a serious question about using Clinton advisors, but Hillary raised the stakes by mocking him and he outwitted her. People forget about the question.

Darrell

After the nomination is locked up, or once a frontrunner is revealed and candidates start dropping I think we'll see a different attitude and much of the nit pikcing will be put aside in favor of taking back the WH.

I was in favor, over the summer, of she and he forging a deal to share the ticket. Clinton would get the first eight years, and the Dems probably would have locked up the Whitehouse for at least sixteen. Opportunity lost, and the ugliness of political battling is threatening to spiral out of control. With a proces like this I'm not sure that there can ever be such a thing as a true winner.
