The whole Bill Shaheen fiasco - the cheap attack from a weak surrogate, followed by the Hillary apology - reminiscent of the South Carolina Republican attacks on McCain, and later, on John Kerry and Max Cleland. The other possibility is to President Hilary puts Obama on the Supreme Court. It would be a great appointment, and remove him as a rival in the party. As a lesson in political tactics, Obama was asked a serious question about using Clinton advisors, but Hillary raised the stakes by mocking him and he outwitted her. People forget about the question. Clinton would get the first eight years, and the Dems probably would have locked up the Whitehouse for at least sixteen. Opportunity lost, and the ugliness of political battling is threatening to spiral out of control. With a proces like this I'm not sure that there can ever be such a thing as a true winner.
