Clinton's work on CHIP? That bill was written by Ted Kennedy, Orrin Hatch,. and yes John Kerry. Sure she voted for its reauthorization, but as Adam Clymer makes clear in his biography of Ted Kennedy In the chapter "Health Care Bit by Bit" The Clinton White House kept it's distance (Big time) form the effort to get CHIP inside the 1997 budget bill.

And wasn't it Bill and Hillary's screw ups that led to the GOP Congress anyway? 40 years of a Demcratic House, 34 of 40 yrs. with a Democratic Senate, the Clinton's show up and then what happened?

I don't think most of the negative spin on Hillary is sexist. I am well aware there is other negative spin as well. I personally don't like the sexist crap.

I also think Clinton will do more for the economy than some folks are giving her credit for.

Pamela, I'm sorry, but if you think that the heavy criticism of Hillary these days is mostly "sexist crap," you're wrong. I'm also a working woman and a mother, and I'd love to see a woman in the Oval Office-- just not Hillary. It's not just the way she supported the Iraq War from the start and even a potential strike on Iran, even though that's a big reason; I hate the idea of one of my kids being called up to serve and shed blood to increase the profits of oil companies, which is what this war has always been about.

I also don't like the way Hillary is so ready to sell out American workers to foreign competition, the way she supports outsourcing US jobs and the H1 visa. My daughter was one of the top students in her computer science classes, but thanks to these programs, she has little to nothing in the way of decent job prospects, with the jobs being steadily offshored. She wants to push this even further.

In fact, the list of Hillary's campaign contributors alone is enough to give one pause, because it makes it immediately obvious who Hillary would "owe" if she were nominated-- the defense and weapons companies, the outsourcers and other unsavory characters.

I'll vote for almost any other Democrat-- Obama, Edwards, almost any other one. But I won't vote for Hillary is she's nominated. If Hillary's on the ballot, I'll still go and vote for Democrats for state offices and for Congress, but for the President's position, I'd either vote for a Third Party, or I'd write in the name for Barbara Boxer-- a woman candidate I really could support.
