Judge to MSNBC – Let Dennis Debate

You got to love Dennis Kucinich for his drive to stay in the race:

A judge in Nevada has just ordered MSNBC to include Rep. Dennis Kucinich in Tuesday’s Democratic Party presidential debate in Las Vegas or he will cancel the forum.

Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson vowed to issue an injunction halting the nationally televised debate if MSNBC failed to comply. Kucinich had filed a lawsuit seeking to be included just this morning.

WTF? AP reports that NBC will appeal:

NBC News said it’ll appeal a judge’s ruling rather than include Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich in a candidates’ debate tomorrow (Tuesday) in Nevada.

That’s after Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson sided with a lawyer for the Ohio congressman who who says Kucinich was invited to take part in the debate and then told last week he’d been cut from the lineup.

The judge is due to sign an order tomorrow (Tuesday) morning making his ruling official.

When he does, expect NBC Universal Inc. to seek an emergency hearing before the Nevada Supreme Court.

I’m sorry, but that’s just lame on NBC’s part. Lame. What ever happened to good old democracy? I guess we’ll be having a 3 podium circus… er um debate after all.
