Dizzy’s Ten Post Round-Up

Never one to do anything half-way, I am preparing to work for the next three days and still feeling like Mother Nature does not like me very much. But, the show must go on, as they say.

It kind of reminds me of what my grandmother used to tell me when I was young, “If you are going to do something, don’t be half-assed about it.” When I was 16, she told me that whatever I did, be the best, whether that was a business person or a hooker (yes, she really said that).

Whenever I think about those words, these days, I think that Bush must have had someone close to him give him the same advice and he obviously took it to heart. Unfortunately, I don’t think that person meant for him to be a colossal @#!$% failure, but, you get the idea.

Jamming out on my cd player, yesterday, I came across this song that kind of reminds me to not take life, lightly. If I’m going to do something, it should be worthwhile, it should bring out the best in me. I actually don’t know any other way to be and I know a lot of my favorite people, including my favorite bloggers, won’t settle for less in themselves, either. So, this bit of youtubery is dedicated to you: Natasha Bedingfield – If You’re Gonna Jump (Paul Oakenfold)

Unfortunately, the rest of the world seems to have lost its ever-lovin’, cotton-pickin’ mind in today’s Ten Post Round-Up:

I am feeling much better, but could still stand a couple more days in recovery. I have lots of people counting on me and my job is about much more than money (I can hire someone else to fill in for me). I really do love what I do.

Be the best that you can be and make it a great day while you’re at it!

“9: Wow. These folks really do not like Hillary…”

Isn’t that disgusting. I never got a chance to post about it and honestly was so appalled I wasn’t sure I wanted to. Great round-up!

It never ceases to amaze me that there are people in the world that lack such class as to bring create an “organization” that spells out a derogatory term for the female genitals. Sadly, some of the donors probably have wives and daughters (and obviously mothers) who support them, not really understanding that the joke is not just on Hillary, but on every woman as stunts like that objectify us all, not just the “original target”.

I thought the same things. As the mother of a daughter, I can’t help but wonder what the mothers and daughters of these slimey men think and or why they would be supportive of such an afront to all women.

I never would have known anything like that exists if you hadn’t brought it to my attention. I’m not sure that I’m better off knowing. There’s some kind of crazies out there!
