The L.A. Times has a piece today about Barack Obama pushing the wrong button on state Senate votes while in the Illinois Senate. Obama’s explanation: “He goofed.” Well, we all make mistakes:

During his eight years in state office, Obama cast more than 4,000 votes. Of those, according to transcripts of the proceedings in Springfield, he hit the wrong button at least six times.

Dave Johnson weighs in with an interesting and provocative perspective on Seeing The Forest:

… if there is ONE thing I do NOT want a President doing, it is pushing the wrong goddam BUTTON!

It only takes hitting the wrong button ONE time in the White House, and the world has a bad day.

Something to think about?  AP Fact Checks Obama’s “present votes” and notes that Obama “did not explain why he wasn’t simply voting “no.”"
