FISA Vote Monday: Clinton and Obama to Vote No on Cloture

FireDogLake reports tonight that both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will be in the Senate on Monday “to vote “no” on cloture on the Intel version of the FISA bill.”

The vote is scheduled to take place at 4:30 pm tomorrow.

Kudos to Clinton and Obama for taking the time from the campaign trail for this important vote in the Senate.

The WaPo reports that Bush will stomp his feet and pull out his veto pen if the Senate passes “a proposal to extend an expiring surveillance law by 30 days.” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid called the warning from the White House  warning “irresponsible” and he said that “Bush was “posturing” just before Monday night’s” SOTU speech.
