It should be noted that the American public seems more aware than usual of the importance of governance.
Governance is far different than ‘change’. It’s implementing programs, concepts and ideas effectively.
Just a thought….

The good news is that most people right now feel that Congress is in opposition to Bush, meaning that they see it as being essentially a Democratic institution. Even if the Republicans started to run away from Bush right now, something that their base would punish mightily, they still couldn’t distance themselves enough between now and November to have a chance in hell of keeping the Whitehouse. It also feels to me that they are going to get slaughtered in congressional races.
