I think it is more than fair to say that the United States as a whole is still a misogynistic country, and it is easier for people to attack a woman in the media than a black man. People are afraid to come out and attack Obama because they fear they will be labeled as a racist. While on the other hand, women are fair game, and always have been. Sure there are examples for the opposite, but on the whole, the majority is clearly more apt to put down women and get away with it compared to attacking a black man. Something to think about when you are being told who to vote for. Granted fairness has never been a part of the electoral process, but just remember when Hillary is getting bashed, at least some of it is because she's an easier target than Barack. Fact.
