		<description>In 1982 I was volunteering during the Primary for Governor in Oregon. The candidate was a full blown tree hugger. I tried to get him to develop a program to promote the development of the solar energy industry, and the state already had a refinery for silicon. He wouldn&#039;t go for it. 

Twenty six years later we have finally started to make some progress, but it definietly did not have to be this slow. And I don&#039;t think that we&#039;re ready to put the emphasis on alt energy even today that circumstances actually warrant.</description>
