Clinton leading per NewsMax.com 47% to 45%.A compromise of integrity and honesty for political gain and the Obama's campaign is supporting real change you can count on?The yankee, doodle blew the high wind off the frying pan and there ain't no chickens roosting here!
Clinton Campaign Says Obama Disenfranchising Michigan and Florida Voters

Speaking in Detroit this morning, Hillary Clinton called for either counting the votes already cast in the early Michigan and Florida primaries, or for holding "new, full and fair elections" -- and she demanded that Barack Obama support this.

Yesterday, Clinton campaign representatives accused Obama's campaign of dragging their feet by refusing to support a re-run of the Michigan and Florida primaries; they characterized this as an effort by the Obama campaign "to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida." And they warned that if this happens, it will give the Republicans a huge opening in those states in the November general elections.

LaRouche PAC notes that any failure to resolve the Florida and Michigan situation also provides an opening for Hedge Fund Dems like Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore to "broker" the convention as they have threatened to do, in such a manner as to ensure that Hillary Clinton does not get the nomination -- which otherwise she seems likely to win, given the plethora of scandals facing Sen. Obama.

In Michigan, key legislators have been saying they can't pass proposed legislation for a new primary without the agreement of both campaigns and the Democratic National Committee--which has signed on--but Obama's campaign will not agree to it.

Mrs. Clinton was in Michigan to meet with legislators concerning the draft legislation, which, she said, she supports, and the DNC also supports.

Alrudder

Parsing is word that a lot of bloggers use to describe the picking apart of speeches, news, etc.. I haven't really said anything much on my opinion of the speech because I have too much else on my plate in the past couple of days and have been working very hard and blogging very little. That unfortunately will continue to be the case until I catch up with some critical work I must get finished that has been put off for a very long time.

I suspect the Clinton supporter cited is Lanny Davis, the former White House aide, who like myself is also a former Maryland resident. Hi Lanny!

But why split hairs? We all make typos.

The more important matter is why parse this 'inside the beltway' stuff, at all?

It is best to minimize the horse-race campaign stuff. The economy is in a crisis not seen in several hundred years.

Obama is irrelevant to the needed debate. The vacuous themes of his campaign and the pre-programmed scandals assure it.

Clinton is only relevant to the extent she continues to emphasize real world issues like freezing home foreclosures. Solutions that protect the general welfare rather than bailing out the predators are required.

The Fed not only loaned JP Morgan Chase the money to gobble up the now worthless Wall St. giant, Bear Stearns, they GUARANTEED $30 Billion of Bearn, Stearns bad financial paper. Welcome to Bailout City--the capital of the USA.

Besides being illegal, this is bad precedent.

The public treasury is expected to make good the rest of the Quadrillions of dollars of worthless mortgage securities, derivatives and other gambling debts, out there, at face value?

The Fed's guarantee to JP Morgan Chase is the essence of fascism. Financial predators get to play in a casino where they cannot lose--only the general public can.

Beware of pols who speak of bringing us together to face shared sacrifice.

Comparing Rev. Wright's comments to that of the KKK is ludicrous. McCain
probably will make a non-thinking GOP type argument like that. But progressives
shouldn't help him make it! Come on...

Pamela,
you used the word "parsing" earlier. I still haven't read what you actually thought of the speech.

Barack Obama gave a good speech on race, but it's being argued that it was designed to distract attention from much more damaging non-racial aspects of his THEOLOGY. See:
