Barack Obama Is Not the Democratic Party

I guess I’ll say it: Barack Obama is not “the” Democratic Party.
Is Barack Obama a Democrat? Sure. Do I disagree with him on some things? Sure. Do I agree with him on other things? Sure. Democrats are a diverse group. No one individual is “the” Democratic Party. Criticism of Obama is not criticism of the Democratic Party. It is criticism of Barack Obama. No one person is “the” Democratic Party. There are millions of Democrats and Barack Obama–love him or hate him–is only one out those millions.
