I'll agree with you there - in regards to the pundits in general, I sometimes wish they would all shut up for a while and let the electoral process continue without interjecting so many opinions.

That said, I still think that this growing schism between Democrats is, at best, unsettling and at worst, downright frightening. I just hope there's enough time to heal.

Andy Witmyer

Journalists are supposed to be fair and impartial. Olbermann has been against Hillary for months and this is not the first time he's said something inappropriate. It's not just about violence against women and I never said here in my post that it was. I think it would be offensive if he said the same thing about Obama to be honest. These pundits get far too personal and voice some really off the wall opinions these days. It's a sad statement on journalism.

"Right. Somebody who can take her into a room and only he comes out."

I think it's stretch to label Olbermann an advocate of violence against woman. In my opinion, he was simply stating that the Super Delegates would convene to end Hillary's campaign in favor of Obama's. I find it interesting that everyone around here was calling Olbermann a hero of the liberal cause at around this time last year but now that he's openly against the protracted primary season, he's considered to be little more than a sexist scumbag.

That said, I'm completely unimpresst with the tone of the primary - from both sides. I hate to say it, but at this rate the road to the White House is going to be a cakewalk for Sen. McCain.

It's a different world and a different campaign from when most of us first voted. I have no idea what the outcme would be if we were all allowed to try again, but I'd like to see it.

Have all parties agree that the decision goes to the winner of a one vote majority, open up the phone lines for a publicly announced window, and let the votes flood in.

At least we could stop all of "the damn meanness".
