Hi everyone,
my name is Frenchdoc. I am Professor of Sociology and Globalization Studies at a large college in the Midwest. I am also the owner of The Global Sociology Blog. I blog mostly about global issues that we, Western people, should care about because they affect us and we affect them in many ways.
Pamela was kind enough to invite me to blog here as well. I am grateful and honored for the privilege of joining a blog that I already enjoy reading. Thank you, Pamela!
I will be blogging on politics, society, economics, the environment, war and peace issues, gender, book reviews on all these topics and, of course, also, American society and politics.
Oh, and just so we’re clear and get that out of the way right now, I am an enthusiastic supporter of Senator Clinton. And for those of you who read this blog regularly, I always agree with Gilbert Martinez. So, now you know where I stand on that.
I hope my writing will be up to the standards of this blog and will interest the readers. Any feedback is welcome.
