Obama Quits Trinity Church

Timing is everything… Isn’t it. How curious that just a short time before the DNC Rules Committee made their final decision, the Obama campaign announced that the Obama’s were leaving the Trinity Church. Now, it could be just a coincidence that Obama decided to make this announcement tonight, but sensing an outcoming from the Rules Committee would dominate the news, one way or another, the Obama camp sure managed to play this one to the hilt.

Senator Barack Obama is ending his membership at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, a congregation he has belonged to for about two decades and one that had become a lightning rod in his Democratic presidential bid.

Mr. Obama informed his campaign advisers of his decision today, according to people familiar with the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak for the candidate.

There’s no question, Obama’s connection with Trinity Church has turned into a lightening rod for trouble for Obama, thanks to Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright and most recently, Rev. Michael Pfleger. Apparently the Obama finally woke to the idea that Trinity could continue to damage his chances in the General Election:

This is not a decision that I come to lightly, and frankly it’s one that I made with some sadness,” Obama told reporters in Aberdeen, S.D. “Trinity was where I found Jesus Christ, where we were married, where our children were baptized. We have many friends among the 8,000 congregants.”

Obama said he felt he had no choice but to leave the church.

“It’s clear that now that I am a candidate for president, every time something is said in the church by anyone associated with Trinity, including guest pastors, the remarks will be imputed to me, even if they totally conflict with my long-held views, statements and principles,” he said.

It’s long overdue… long overdue. And it really is absolutely brilliant timing from the Obama camp to hold off on the announcement, considering “Obama campaign communications director Robert Gibbs said Obama had resigned from the church “over the last few days.”

The timing of announcing Obama’s departure from Trinity, is totally taking the heat off the Rules Committee decision and making this the headline story of the evening in the blogosphere and news.

The nipple of Barack’s Soul Exposed

Elaine on Seinfeld said it best, could have been about Barack Obama….

ELAINE: I did not bare myself deliberately, but I tell you, I wish now that I had! Because it is not me that has been exposed, but you! For I have seen the nipple on your soul!

Obama has shown us a glimpse of his soul as he dumps his church…it ain’t very pretty. What a troubled lost man who wants to play president. Barak, go home, find yourself, before it is too late for you to “be a man, and take a stand.”

If you saw Barak Obama give the press conference today where he ditched his church membership, then you saw a very weak man indeed. I don’t agree with his church’s rhetoric but I did expect him to have faith in God’s house of worship and to not be influenced by the media. Senator Obama just does not have the core beliefs and soul to lead our nation.

He said that he refers to scripture every day. How can Senator Obama refer to the bible everyday and live with his own approval of abortion, the murder of God’s unborn children.

Had not Barack Obama read Psalm 23:4 since he said that he referred to the scriptures every day.

Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Barack was on the ropes, hit with criticism. So what, every man is at least once in his life. Barack have not you read:

Matthew 16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

Didn’t Obama know that God would provide for him in times of trouble? I just don’t believe this poor lost soul of a man one bit.
