Watching The DNC Delegate Meeting

I never thought that I would see the day that the Democratic Party would even think of reducing the power of the vote of Democrats in two states. I thought one man, one vote was a basic Democratic principle.

If you are not watching CNN or MSNBC’s live coverage it’s fact filled. You can watch the presenters and the following questions. It is disheartening at the same time.

How did we come to this point where voters have to worry about their voters being counted? Did we learn nothing from the bastardization of the 2000 election? Haven’t the 8 years of Bush disasters taught us nothing about the value of a single vote?

Didn’t the Nixon disaster, when won by one vote per precinct, teach us nothing?

I’ll continue to watch this meeting with my heart in my mouth and hope in my heart.
