I had a thought tonight about the threats to support John McCain from angry Clinton supporters.
As a Clinton supporter and a feminist I find a certain kind of irony in the fact that Clinton supporters are complaining about the sexism that Hillary weathered during her campaign but they are willing to support a candidate who called his wife the C word.
Yes, that’s right, incase all you feminists who are so outraged forgot, John McCain called his wife the C Word. And he’s probably laughing his ass off that he’ll get your support now, he’s laughing and so is the RNC.
I love Hillary. I am proud of my support for her. But I have to say, it breaks my heart to see the level of frustration and anger coming from fellow Clinton supporters. You folks have got to know that this is not supporting her — it hurts her. That friends is common sense.
In her own words last night:
This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.
John McCain is not the answer. Wake up Clinton supporters who are nursing frustration and anger. The best thing everyone can do to show their support for Hillary Clinton is to follow her lead and support Barack Obama as she has said she will.
