Kerry Rival Ends Campaign for Mass. Senate
By: Pamela LeaveyI’m pleased to report that Jim Ogonowski, who was the Republican’s “leading recruit to challenge” John Kerry, dropped out the race today.
Ogonowski came 30 valid signatures short of the 10,000 signatures necessary at the Tuesday deadline to qualify for the September 16 primary ballot. Ogonowski could have mounted a legal challenge or launched a write-in campaign, but opted to pass up the opportunity. [...]
Kerry will now be facing little-known Army veteran Jeff Beatty in the general election.
It should go with out saying with my long-standing support here of John Kerry on The Dem Daily, that I support Kerry’s bid for re-election in Massachusetts. Kerry also received the endorsement of Ned Lamont yesterday.

And JK is on his way to another term in the US senate (unless another position opens up for him somewhere down the road).
Yes, John Kerry is on his way to another term in the U.S. Seanate. He is a great Senator and would have been a great President!
