When reality refused to be ignored, our government made the implicit compromise to value democracy over freedom, with the inevitable result of tyranny by the majority. In the Iraqi setting this translates into the establishment of a fundamentalist theocracy, paid for by our blood and treasure. Don't like paying to propogate a society that condons "honor killings"? Then I suggest working overtime to keep the murdering Republics out power. The original promise was “freedom and democracy”.
