My first reaction was so shocked I was out of line to question his medical treatment. I'm sure he had the best of doctors and treatment. It wasn't anything other than what is seems....an untimely, horrid death.

He will be missed.

Wow. I'm stunned. Just got in from 8 hours on the road, haven't listened to or seen the news since yesterday morning. This was the first thing I saw when I checked the DD. How sad. I met Tim Russert in NH in '04 when I was there working for Kerry before the primary.

Tim Russert prided himself on being one of the best prepared people in the news business. I think we've lost a voice that will be sorely missed.

He has, as far as I can tell, a catastrophic heart attack. That is one that floored him on the spot, Why he could have been previously diagnosed with asymmetric arterial disease and not have an angioplasty automatically I don't know.

This I write as someone who has had two heart attacks and 4 angioplasties.

I don't get why a more aggressive form of intervention wasn't taken.

He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
