Oh, Obama disappoints! How do you fault what Wesley Clark actually said (as opposed to the way it came out from the time warp it traveled through to get to the right wing reality world)?

If Betrayus Petraeus announed for office would we be required to spread rose petals to mark his progress up Pennsylvania Avenue? And how would this standard apply to General Clark, himself?

The right really does have a double standard, they called Bill Clinton, draft dodger Clinton. Then they trashed the war records of distinguished veterans like Max Cleland, John Kerry and Jack Murtha., with out and out lies. George W. Bush has a military service record that is questionable at best. Also what about Dick Cheney's military service?

It contiues to amaze me how politicans use "pride" to divide instead of unite. In the 2004 campaign Senator Kerry, a decorated war hero, was demonized as being a traitor. I like Senator Kerry, also served in Vietnam. As most GI's I served with, I was totally against the war. I constantly see bumper stickers stating, "America, Love It Or Leave It." This type of blind loyality helped facilitate the rise of Nazi Germany. The sticker should more accurately state, "America, Love It or Change It."
Then, of course, Obama's patriotism was questioned when he didn't wear a lapel pin. The far right is constantly emphazing his middle name, Hussian, to make folks question his loyality. His wife's words about "for once being proud of he country " were quoted out of context, in order to have us believe that she is ashamed of her country. Now, General Clark makes a serious campaign gaff in questioning Senator McCain's patriotism. This, however, was just a gaff and not an orchestrated "swift boat" campaign to discredit him. Apparently Colonel Day is not capable of distinguishing between a miss-speak and a cordinated smear campaign. Patriotism, like King George himself, has often become a great divider instead of a great uniter. Those who exhibit blind loyality too often inherite blind tyranny. Buzz
