McCain Blows It Again

John McCain needs to get a grip. He’s either slipping a little or his mind is so filled with concern about his disorganized, constantly changing campaign that he can’t concentrate on the words coming out of his mouth.

Every day it seems, McCain drops out a comment that makes everyone stop for a moment in mid-stride, shake their head and wonder if they heard it right. Here’s one of the latest.

(To appreciate this completely you need to know that Steve Peace is a very conservative congressman from New Mexico that is the Republican nominee for the open Senate seat in New Mexico. Our candidate is Tom Udall.) h/t to Political Wire

McCain’s Dumb Quote Of The Day

“Could I mention the presence of my friend, Congressman Steve Pearce, who I believe will be joining me in the United States Senate?”

– Sen. John McCain, quoted by Politico, apparently planning to still be in the Senate next year.

Perhaps John has a secret understanding that he’s going to take a helluva beating in November.

McCain is a nice enough guy, in a dumb sort of happy go lucky way. But since we’re just finishing up eight years of having that at the top, it does seem highly unlikely that we’ll repeat that mistake.
