It seems in blogging less I missed the news that David Wade, longtime aide to Senator John Kerry, has taken a leave absence to work for the Obama campaign. David has been tapped to be “the spokesman for whoever presumptive Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) taps as his running mate.”
Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun Times, has a video interview with Wade explaining “the operation being readied for Obama’s vice presidential candidate.”
Boston Magazine noted on the day of Wade’s announcement that he was joining Obama’s team:
While the relentless media pressure usually grinds the snark out of the strongest of spokespeople, Wade has boldly called out power players on the national and local scene during his time with Kerry.
Check out Boston Magazine’s review of some of Wade’s greatest hits.
Congratulations David on your new gig! Our new VP, once chosen will have one of the best in the business as their spokesman.

I have never talked with David Wade , but everyone I ever talked to on John Kerry’s staff had nothing but high praise for him. They held him in high regard and John Kerry as well!

I’ve met David a couple of times. He’s a great guy… everyone I have met who works for JK falls into the category of good people! So does JK for that matter.
A part of me unrealistically hopes that this might mean that John Kerry might very well be Obama’s VP pick.
