"McCain has been everywhere and knows all of the players so when stuff happens he has a huge built in advantage."What strikes me as the strongest response was never mentioned. The supposed advantage of this experience is in being better able to rally support in search of a solution, because, obviously, none of this matters if we can always just do whatever we want just because we feel like it.Obama does not have depth of experience on the ground, but he did give a speech to 200,000 Germans on his last time out. For McCain, of course, he can come and go as often as he wants to and simply no one even cares. He could give a speech in Eurpoe, but why? No one would show up and he'd only appear to be the fool that he is.And that's the whole logic behind the attack from the right on Obama as the worlds greatest celebrity. They know that he can rally world opinion in ways that their guy only wishes he could.If the attack machine has singled this out as the greatest strength of Obama, why does not the left promote it just as heavily as the right attacks it? Instead the opportunity passed without even the slightest mention of Obama being the single most popular political figure on the planet, and the strength that this fact will bring to his ability to lead in times of foreign policy challenges.
