I know I may not be able to do Ted Kennedy’s speech at the podium justice, but here goes live-blogging (video at the end of the post):

My fellow Americans it is so wonderful to be here. Nothing, nothing is going to keep me away from this gathering tonight.

As I look ahead I am strengthened by family and friendship. I pledge to you I will be there next January on the floor of the U.S. Senate when we begin the next chapter…

For me this is a season of new hope… We will guarantee that every American, north, south, east and west will have healthcare as a fundamental right not a privelege. Yes we can with Barack Obama and yes we will!

Barack Obama will close the gap on equality….

Barack Obama will ensure that no American serve for a mistake… (paraphrasing)

Yes we are all Americans… We reach the moon, I know it, I’ve seen it, I’ve lived it.

There is a new wave of change all around us, if we set our compass straight we will reach it.

With Barack Obama and for you and for me, our country will be committed to his cause… The hope rises again and the dream lives on.

Ted Kennedy is “Still The One.” I’ve got to say… That just made my night to see Ted Kennedy, the Liberal Lion of the Senate speaking from the podium. I’ll post the video when I find it.
