Columnists Spout About Palin

In his recent column in the NY Times, Thomas Friedman asked these very valid question about Sarah Palin and the conservative commentators boasting of her appeal:

How in the world can conservative commentators write with a straight face that this woman should be vice president of the United States? Do these people understand what serious trouble our country is in right now?

And Friedman’s not alone asking questions about Palin’s ability to be VP… In an interview with The Atlantic, David Brooks ”praised Palin’s natural political talent, but said she is “absolutely not” ready to be president or vice president.”

He explained, “The more I follow politicians, the more I think experience matters, the ability to have a template of things in your mind that you can refer to on the spot, because believe me, once in office there’s no time to think or make decisions.”

The choice is clear — Just say “NO” to Sarah Palin… and John McCain.

Brooks said a helluva lot worse than that about Palin. I’ll try and find the citation later today.
