Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama and Speaks To The Challenges Of The Future

It doesn’t get a helluva lot better when it comes to endorsements. Many readers may know that Colin Powell is a popular man. What they may not know is that, until Barack Obama came to the scene, Colin Powell was the most admired man in the USA.

This endorsement crosses party lines at a time when that simple reality it most important. In this announcement he uses his time to build a case for Obama while rejecting the personal attacks and campaign tactics of the last seven weeks.

Powell also spoke convincingly of the challenges facing the new president.

    Interesting move by Powell, it seems that he was very disappointed with the Bush adminastration, hanging him out to dry with the false WMD’s and ingoring his advice on the war(s).I suspect that he has been disappointed with himself for being loyal to the Republican weasels that have brought the country to ruin on almost all level, except the military/industrial complex which is happily counting it’s money.Colin Powell would be an interesting asset to the Obama Administration maybe as Secturary of State.I think McCain and Palin want to do good for the country but baby stepping mavericks are not enough.
