Rachel Maddow Busts The Chops Of An Expert Commentor Who Had a BIG Conflict Of Interest
By: Stuart O'Neill
Laura Tyson a very qualified economics professor, commentator and former member of the Clinton administrator appeared on The Rachel Maddow show. She was there as
expert on the topic of the $750 billion Wall Street bail-out bill. It was an informative conversation. Tyson’s very good at her job and so was Rachael Maddow for asking the right questions.
The problem surfaced yesterday when David Sirota notified Maddow that Tyson was also on the board of directors of Morgan Stanley and was earning $350,ooo in that position. She didn’t disclose that to Maddow’s staff.
Here’s the most unusal response by Maddow as she admits the error on the air and shows Tyson’s response. (I guess there a first time for everything.)
Hat Tip to David Sirota, his update on my Facebook page and his excellent Blog For Our Future.

Maddow and her staff are idiots for not doing their research first and knowing on which boards she serves (or in which companies she is invested in). Tyson is also on the board of AT&T and Eastman Kodak.
Do you know what companies Paul Krugman serves on? I know he used to serve as an advisor to the board of Enron, I wonder who he works for know. Perhaps that should be posted on it’s byline, but it’s not.
