And so, we begin a new chapter in American history today… One that is filled with the promise of change and new beginnings that clearly offer more hope than America has seen in a very long time.
The long collective American nightmare known as the presidency of George W. Bush is over. Bush’s reign has been a long “tragedy of errors,” that has left far too many Americans broke and battered and yet, so many now emerge with the hope that together we can roll up our sleeves and work with our new president to be the change we all long for.
There are great expectations riding on this day and our new president, Barack Obama and today is a “day on which smiles will give way to tears and then return quickly to smiles again, a day of celebration and reflection.”
It’s time to turn the page and start a-new.
