As Pamela’s post below predicted, President Obama made a detailed statement today. Unlike any effort made previously, the President outlines some of his new package and make a direct effort to limit executive pay, perks and golden parachutes. He says, “We’re taking the air out of golden parachutes.”
It is a dramatic moment in American history as executive compensation, except for the $1 executives in WWII and a few today, has never been a matter of regulation. This action could be opening a hornets nest politically yet majority of Americans want that nest kicked very hard!
