A lot of friends still wonder why I moved to coastal Maine after living for nearly 19 years in Los Angeles. I get the phone calls saying, wow I looked at the weather map, it’s so cold up there. Yep, it is. The cold wears me down some days, particularly because I am still not fully adjusted to it. But then, there are days when I drive right down the street, and this is what I see:
