Stimulus Package Vote Brings Kennedy Back to the Hill

The stimulus package vote today brought Senator Ted Kennedy back to the Hill to cast his vote with fellow Democrats in support of the bill. Watch the brief interview with Kennedy here:

The vote on the stimulus package was 61-36, just one more vote than the 60 votes needed to “move the measure toward Senate passage.”

Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania broke ranks to cast their votes to advance the bill.

Kennedy’s return to the Hill today was his visit to the Capitol since Inauguration Day, when he suffered a seizure.
