Creating Solar Cities

There was a great read in the NY Times on Saturday about solar power: “Harnessing the Sun, With Help From Cities.” We just can’t be dependent on big oil forever. Read the whole piece. It won’t work everywhere but it certainly does in areas where there is a lot of sun. We need to start taking better advantage of our local resources like sun, water and wind.

    Given that we are approaching the tipping point of $1 per watt for solar, you will see it going mainstream in the next few years as it will be as cheap as fossil fuels. The US in particular has the potential to do great things.
