Death Panel Lunacy

Honestly… People really need to get a freaking grip. The chatter, the hype and hyperbole on the healthcare reform debate is just completely out of control. A lot of smart people are reacting to bad information they are hearing. Bad information pushed from wing nut mouthpiece’s like Sarah Palin.

For those who are indeed concerned about this… Here’s the reality: “No ‘death panel’ in health care bill.”

The people the healthcare reform will affect the most are the people who are currently un-insured. Those who can afford insurance can continue paying their outrageous premiums if they so desire. No biggie.

One Response to Death Panel Lunacy

  1. “A lot of smart people are reacting to bad information they are hearing.”
And this is worrying me. From the right wing I’m seeing nothing but made up, hysterical conspiracy theories. They just make up rubbish about some sort of communist take-over of the USA, while nothing could be further from the truth.

But, as you say, a lot of people are responding to and commenting on this as if it were valid political discourse. It needs to be called out as the rubbish it is.

And, as you point out: if someone wants to keep his/her outrageously overpriced and underperforming insurance option that’s absolutely fine, they’re 100% allowed to do so.
