Why GOP Presidential Candidates Are Opting Out

Haley Barbour announced late yesterday he would not run for president in 2012. If folks are wondering why potential GOP candidates seem to have a tough time deciding whether or not to run this election, here’s a list of five reasons they may be opting out.

President Obama’s approval rating may be low right now, but Republicans still seem to feel he’ll be tough to beat. And they are right. Regardless of that sentiment, here’s the last line from the RNC’s Presidential Straw Poll, question 2: “Will you help our Party counter the Obama money machine by making a generous campaign contribution today?”
