Twitter Breaks First Credible Report of Bin Laden’s Death

Tech Crunch reports:

This news is actually spreading like wildfire before the broadcast on Twitter where CNN’s Steve Brusk tweeted that the announcement was National Security-related at around 7:25pm PST, and the first reputable sign of confirmation came from Keith Urbahn, the Chief of Staff for former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who tweeted “I’m told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden.” The tweet has been re-tweeted upwards of 100 times.

There’s a wild party going on outside of the White House right now:

Congratulations to our Special Forces and our President! Osama Bin Laden is dead.
