MA Sen 2012: Setti Warren Receives Senate Endorsements from Fellow Mayors

On Thursday, Newton, MA mayor Setti Warren’s U.S. Senate campaign announced that eight Massachusetts mayors have endorsed Warren for his run to replace republican Senator Scott Brown.

The mayors that endorsed Setti Warren include Mayor Thatcher Kezer of Amesbury, Mayor Joe O’Brien of Worcester, Mayor Robert Dolan of Melrose, Mayor Mary Clare Higgins of Northampton, Mayor William Manzi of Methuen, Mayor James Ruberto of Pittsfield, Mayor Michael Tautznik of Easthampton and Mayor Lisa Wong of Fitchburg.

I am especially honored to receive the endorsement of so many of my colleagues and pledge that, if elected, I would be the strong federal partner they need,” Mayor Warren said in an e-mailed statement.

Warren is traveling to Baltimore this weekend to participate in the U.S. Conference of Mayors annual meeting.

The Newton mayor has been involved with the conference for some time now, traveling to Washington D.C. on occasion to meet with the committee and federal officials.

It’s great to see Setti’s campaign gaining some traction… I jumped right in when Warren announced his run and endorsed him.
