Say It Ain’t So

Dear Mr. President,

I have supported you through think and thin since you were elected. Unlike many of my progressive peers, I avoid being overly critical of decisions you have made that I disagree with. But today’s news that you are considering offering up Social Security and Medicare cuts in the debt talks, does not sit at well with me.

As part of his pitch, Obama is proposing significant reductions in Medicare spending and for the first time is offering to tackle the rising cost of Social Security, according to people in both parties with knowledge of the proposal. The move marks a major shift for the White House and could present a direct challenge to Democratic lawmakers who have vowed to protect health and retirement benefits from the assault on government spending.

Please Mr. President… say it ain’t so. Our Democratic leaders in Congress must stand firm against this.

One more reason I would love to see ol’ Bernie Sanders become president. He clearly has his priorities straight … and is not afraid to fight for them.

I was planning to vote for Obama but this is the last straw. He promised he has expanded wars that we are actually fighting 5. He has agree with republicans over democrats. He thinks that his base will vote for him because they have no choice. I live in Ohio and I will write in either Bernie Sander or Elizabeth Warren. In Ohio we have senior centers. A write in can be started in that organization. he has no backbone and ignores the base at his peril I don’t know who is advising him but they better be looking for a new job he will have a hard time getting money. he has no policies for new jobs. i want a isolationist. for 200 years we had tariffs and we had a middle class. when is the march on Washington because I will go. if any democrats vote for it they will be primary obama wants them to fall on a sword for him and his reelection are they stupid they must grow a backbone and oppose him. he is a one term president i am tired of being step on and take one for the gipper.
