Photo Of The Day: Kids ‘Heart’ Obama

This is a great photo of our president having fun with school kids who stood on the side of the road holding “We (heart) Obama” and “Honk if you’re the president” signs…

In this Aug. 15, 2011, photo, after posing for a photo kids from day camp help President Barack Obama to his feet in Chatfield, Minn. The surprise stop came about after Obama trip director Marvin Nicholson, traveling at the front of the motorcade, radioed the president’s bus behind him that grade-school children in colorful t-shirts from their day camp were lining the sidewalk with home-made signs to greet him. “We (heart) Obama” and “Honk if you’re the president.” The scene proved to be a flawless photo op.

There’s been a lot of chatter about the new presidential bus in the past couple of days, as the GOP have used it to attack Obama. Bush had one too, from the same company. Enough said.

Of course the big news of the day is President Obama’s upcoming economic speech on tax cuts and jobs scheduled for after Labor Day. Republicans have been forewarned… but will they listen.
