After Hurricane Sandy, Christie Breaks From Attack Dog to Praise Obama

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is missing an all important surrogate in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. New Jersey was among the hardest hit areas, during Hurricane Sandy, and Governor Christie has been especially grateful to the solid preparation and aide flowing from the Obama White House.

As The Caucus reports:

The overnight transformation of Mr. Christie from political slasher to disaster governor is a reflection of the magnitude of the devastation in New Jersey. Asked on Fox News whether Mr. Romney might tour damage of the state, Mr. Christie was dismissive.

“I have no idea, nor am I the least bit concerned or interested. I have a job to do in New Jersey that is much bigger than presidential politics,” Mr. Christie said. “If you think right now I give a damn about presidential politics, then you don’t know me.”

Good for you, Governor Christie. The time for partisanism is not now. Let the Romney camp whine and moan. President Obama has shown his mettle to America once again, as he has put campaigning aside and jumped in to do what a Commander In Chief needs to do in the wake of a disaster.
